Article Marketing - Why Article Marketing Increases Search Engine Rankings

Article marketing, of course, is the process of writing articles, including one or more links to your web site within the articles, and submitting the articles to the various online article directories.

One of the things for which article marketing is especially useful is that of increasing search engine rankings.

How does that work?

Lets take a step back.

How do the search engines determine which websites should be ranked higher than others, and in which ranking?

One of the ways that search engines determine which web site should rank higher than another web site is by counting the number of inbound links to that web site. An inbound link is a link that is coming into your web site.

The theory is this: if you have more inbound links, you must be more popular, and if you are more popular then your web site must have more to offer, than another web site in your niche with fewer inbound links than you.

So how do you get more inbound links, and therefore increase popularity and search engine rankings?

One of my favorite ways , and one of the easiest ways, to do this is by article marketing. Each article that you submit to an article directory, with a link in it pointing back to your web site, gives you one additional inbound link to your web site.

Article marketing is a quick and easy way to get multiple inbound links to your web site. I regularly submit my articles to a list of about 150 article directories and each of these directories places a link back to my web site, which increases my inbound link count and my link popularity.

Success Strategies For E-Mail Marketing

Mastering e-mail is an essential skill that is because e-mail marketing is very profitable. But you need some skills in order to succeed, regardless of the audience.

#1 - Know how to capture email addresses. If you want to make any money from e-mail marketing you need to capture the visitors e-mail address. You need to master the art and science of capturing the covted e-mail address. The best way to capture email addresses is to give out a valuable ebook, audio or video in exchange for people's email addresses.

#2 - Take time to create a valuable product (something original, something that is YOURS not the crappy stuff you find on the Internet).

#3 - You need to be able to communicate. You must have the ability to express yourself so that you will be clearly understood.

#4 - You must build a relationship with your list. E-mail them often, offer them useful stuff. When you browse the web and I find something useful, bookmark the site and later go back to it and work it into a post on your blog or website. In this way you are giving back to your readers and visitors, and to your subscribers who are expecting value from you.

#5 - Target your list with relavent offers. Don't offer them A when they really want B. Don't know what they want? Ask them! Promise them something in return for completing a survey or substantial discount on your next product.

#5 Persistance pays. Don't go overboard.

I was once told by an advertising firm that prospects need to see your offer more than 7 times to establish trust and make a purchase from you. If you e-mail your list 7 times in one day, count on getting a lot of individuals unsubscribing. Limit your e-mails to once or twice per day if you are offering alerts for new posts, and perhaps once per week if you publish an e-zine.

Follow these simple steps/rules and you will succeed in whichever market you are working in.

How To Create Multiple Income Streams From Your Website

Creating multiple income streams from your website is a proven marketing strategy. An effective strategy anyone can use to earn a part-time or full-time online income. If you are not currently earning revenue from your site, you could be leaving significant amounts of cash floating in cyberspace.

Significant amounts of cash that can help pay your monthly bills: your rent or mortgage, your car payments, your utility bills or even your hosting costs. Many alert webmasters are doing just that by creating multiple income streams from their site or sites.

Creating these multiple income streams is not a difficult task. Nor is it a lengthy or time consuming one; monetizing your site can be done within a few hours of work.

Here are some effective ways of creating multiple income streams:

1. Affiliate Programs

Joining affiliate programs related to your site is an easy process. Placing html code or java script on your site with your affiliate IDs embedded only takes seconds. I find joining major affiliate networks like Commission Junction, LinkShare, Amazon, ClickBank, Shareasale... to be the most effective. You can quickly find and join affiliate programs related to your site's topics.

Affiliate programs are excellent income producers, all you have to do is supply the traffic or leads and the affiliate company does the selling, shipping and handles all customer interactions. These programs pay on time each month and there are no disputes about commissions. Amazon pays quarterly!

2. Google Adsense

Perhaps one of the easiest way to monetize your site is through Google Adsense. All you have to do is add a snippet of code to your site and Google serves up ads to match your site's content. Getting those checks from Google each month will put a smile on your face. Guaranteed!

3. Sponsored Links

Another simple way to earn revenue from your site is offering sponsored links. Selling links to other sites who want to be listed on your site. Set up a PayPal subscription service, and if your site has a high PR page rank you will have plenty of webmasters more than willing to pay you each month.

4. Banner Advertising

A simple, direct way to earn revenue from your site is to host and sell banner advertising on your site. Bit traditional but still a money producer for high traffic volume sites.

5. List Building

Building an opt-in list of contacts interested in the topic of your site can be one of your most effective income producers. Many webmasters and marketers use followup e-mails to keep in contact with their site's visitors. This does require some work and set-up time, but once you have your autoresponders in place, you can forget about them.

In addition, marketing special deals, joint ventures and offers to your permission based email contact list can be another lucrative income stream for you.

That's just five ways to create multiple income streams from your site. There are many, many more but these are good starting points for any webmaster who wants to monetize their site or sites.

Additional Marketing Tip

Here's my #1 marketing strategy on how to increase your number of income streams:

I use the Long Tail keyword marketing model to create high ranked keyword listings in organic search for profitable keyword phrases on the topics of my sites. First, I use a keyword research tool like Brad Callen's Keyword Elite or an online site Yahoo's Overture to find profitable keyword phrases for my sites.

These tools will tell you how many searches are made each month for a given keyword phrase and also tell you how much marketers are willing to pay for each click to this keyword phrase - as in PPC or Pay Per Click advertising.

The trick is to find low to mid-range keywords or keywords phrases that are profitable but have little competition. Then design a content page on your site to target these keyword phrases and draw in traffic. I use keyword targeted articles which I place on my site and also submit to online article directories like Ezinearticles, Goarticles, Articlealley, among others.

In the resource box at the end of each article, I place my keyword anchor text and links back to my site. As these are competitively low ranked keywords, my content pages usually land on the top positions in the search engines for my targeted keywords within a week or so.

This is a simple effective marketing strategy that feeds targeted traffic into my sites, making them more profitable with each keyword phrase I develop content for on my sites. It is an online marketing strategy that you can also use to booster your multiple income streams from your own website.

Granted, all the above information comes with a disclaimer, the amount of income will usually correlate to how effective you are at marketing your site and how much traffic you can generate. Your different abilities will play a large role in how much you will earn. However, there is no reason why any healthy site getting a decent amount of traffic can't be used to create multiple streams of income. Just cash in!

SEO Tip - Why You Need To Keep Within Keyword Density

Internet articles are generally written for informative or marketing purposes. Writing for marketing campaigns, basically entices the reader to learn more about the products or services you offer.

The article itself is not where you sell the product, instead the article provides web readers with pertinent information and data, which in turn would entice them to take action and click on your website to learn more. In addition, the articles you write should be persuasive and credible, so that others would also want to post it on their websites, newsletters or blogs.

Internet Article Writing Purposes

Internet articles, whether for informative or marketing purposes, is distributed freely via the Internet. The main purpose is to generate targeted traffic to your website and construct, as well as maintain as list of potential customers.

The articles written are made to provide information to the reader and encourage them to learn further about your business or services. Internet marketing articles could be utilized to promote any type of product, service or specific information. They can be used to promote your website, affiliate marketing program or blog.

Why Should You Keep Within Keyword Density

Keyword density is another major factor that will, and should, play a significant role in your article content. It would be helpful to remember that keyword density should range between 1% and 5%. However, using too low of an amount of keywords will get your article lost in the search engine optimization shuffle.

If you pack your article keywords on the high end of the density, your article can then be considered to be keyword stuffed. It would be best to try to keep your keyword density in the 2% to 3% range. With this 1% keyword density range, your articles will have a nice range of keyword density that will help your article with search engine placement.

Generally-Accepted Article Lengths

Internet articles generally should be between 400 to 1,200 words in length. Keep the articles fairly within this length, since if it gets too long, the ones reading it may get really bored or start to click away. However, if the articles are too short on the other hand, it probably would not provide enough pertinent information.

The main objective is to strike a balance between the two aspects. The title of an Internet article is also one of the most important aspects you should keep in mind. An effective strategy would be to insert the keyword of your article into the title. In order not to compromise the quality of the title, experts suggest keeping an article's title between 4 to 7 or 8 words.

Preventing Keyword Abuse

In writing articles, writers may want to include the primary keyword or phrase, like around 1 to 3 times in each paragraph. It is wise to remember that placing keywords needs to make sense, and you would not want overuse the keyword or phrase in a paragraph or sentence, just to have it there.

Bum Marketing - What Is All The Hype?

You've probably heard it before and it rings inside your head. The "bum" in bum marketing really gets you kicking and wondering why somebody in their right mind would call their product this. After all this is such a radical departure from the names that we're use to. Mike Filsame has the rights to "Butterfly Marketing", but who wants to be inspired by a colorful flying bug when you can be inspired by...a bum?

It's no surprise that it caught on fire and literally created a storm of wannabe reports about this revolutionary method. This is also partially thanks to the name selection and also because it's basically free. Yet free doesn't really matter that much anymore, and if you ask any decent copywriter then you'd know that it's the most cliche and overused term on the net. What makes this so unique is that it's claim is that it actually works, and it lays out one of the most simplest if not easiest method there is for making money. It could have easily been created as a product in itself but the creator, decided to make it publicly available.

The name was given to imply that this method is so successful that even a bum living on the street can make good money. The income that's going to be made will really just depend on the amount of time and work that you put into this method. The payoff is suppose to come eventually. The main idea is to write articles for article directories using keywords that aren't competitive, or less popular. Since the articles are based on the less competitive terms, these articles will actually have a better chance of coming up to the very top of search engines without much effort. The money is basically made on from the link in the author box, capitalizing on an affiliate product.

The resource box or author's is going to be what the readers are drawn to and they will click it based on your articles. So it's very important to find out whether you have an article good enough to help you establish yourself as a known expert. You should make sure that the link that you're using is valid, otherwise it'll be a complete waste of time to write these articles. The keywords and articles you use will be the main deciding factor on whether the user is going to click your link. If not then you've just wasted some precious time on an article.

For the actual affiliate product that you plan on promoting, you should target the bigger network ones so that you'll have an easier time going through the ones that you want to use. Just make sure that the article matches up with the niche of the product that you're trying to promote. Meaning that it's relevant to the topic. So does this really work?

In theory yes it does and many people are reporting their results and earn up to thousands per month. Yet the problem isn't on whether it works or not, it's based on the patience involved in getting this done. Writing articles hours on end can be a tough thing to do for most people. However, the simple fact that it's hard makes it more of an opportunity for those who are willing to put in their energy and create the articles on a consistent basis. Outsourcing is generally not the best way to do this either simply because of the money involved in making this happen. Of course, if you can find an honest writer whose willing to charge less then by all means go for it. Waiting for the articles to start generating you the money is going to be where the patience part comes in and most people just do not have this. So if you're willing to go ahead and commit yourself to this, then I suggest that you do this. Otherwise, don't waste your time and only use articles as a means to build your brand.

If you try it, then at least you know that this method works and you can later branch out into other projects.

Profitable Article Marketing - Latest 4 Nifty Methods to Jumpstart Your Article Marketing

If you are like some new marketers who are looking for ways on how you can drive quality traffic to your website without hurting your pockets, article marketing is perfect for you. This is the process of writing and distributing your articles on the World Wide Web to establish your expertise so people will trust you and create numerous inbound links for your website to improve your page ranking.

Here are the latest 4 Nifty methods to jumpstart your article marketing:

1. Choose the appropriate categories for your articles. This will make them more hassle-free to search should online users use categories when looking for specific information. If you are writing about exercises and losing weight, heath and fitness will be the most appropriate categories for your articles.

2. Make your articles search engine-friendly. Get yourself a reliable keyword suggestion tool that can be downloaded online for free that can help you figure out the best keywords to incorporate on your articles to make them highly searchable online. Then, understand the proper placement of your keywords to aid search spiders in properly indexing your articles. Your main keyword must be included in your titles, first and last paragraphs or your articles and at least 2 times on your article body.

3. Your articles must be publisher-friendly. They must conform to the standards set by publishing sites to increase their chances of being accepted and posted online. Avoid putting blatant ads on your articles as well as hyperlinks and inappropriate content as these are the most common reasons why publishers are rejecting some articles.

4. Your articles must be business-friendly. By this, I mean that they must have the capability to drive qualified traffic to your website. This can easily be achieved by writing topics that are closely related to your offerings and those that interest your potential clients.

SEO Elite - A Review To Search Engine Optimization

SEO is a way of increasing the quantity of web site traffic from search engines through organic search results of queries that users enter into the search box. The earlier a web page is shown in the search results can normally lead towards higher rankings of a keyword and more visits to the page are a result. SEO Elite can be one way to achieve fast indexing of a web page.

  • How to achieve high ranking keywords:
  • The "SEO Elite" tool is one of many ways to achieve high ranking, this tool will allow you to analyze your competitors onpage and offpage optimization in various ways. Another great tool is Keyword Elite which not only allows you to create a extensive list of thousands of keywords in minutes, but lets you know exactly how easy it is to optimize a keyword, which keywords pay the most - for Adsense Publishers and so much more.

High Alexa ranked web sites is another huge factor in gaining the high ranking you desire as these create a trust factor which is passed down to the link contained within the document. Page Rank is another factor, it's been said that the Page Rank of a document doesn't really help in your keyword ranking, but really this is another trust factor that is assigned to a page in a form of importance. The more important and relevant a page is, the higher the page rank is assigned to it. A Page Rank can also be achieved by having a web site or page link coming off a high PR page, approximately a share of 85% of this value is passed down to the links on that page. The fewer links on this page the more of the page rank is shared to the destination url.

Backlinks is one of the most important aspects of gaining high keyword ranking. The more you have pointing to a page the higher you will rank. The technique used is to use anchor text links where the text link will be your keyword and or phrase you are hoping to rank for. It's important not to use the same anchor text links all the time and make variations of this text to make it look more like a natural way a person would use. Using too many of the same links just doesn't look natural.

SEO Elite will help you find link partners through various sources. It also allows you to find relevant web sites that you can ask for back links. Or find one way back links or two way - reciprocal links from partners from Link Directories, another good way to achieve fast indexing of a page.

Another important factor to high keyword ranking is taking close attention to the title of the page that you wish to get a one way back link - the most powerful of all links. Search engines work off relevancy and a trust factor. When you're looking for back links, try to find web site pages that contain the phrase or keyword you want to achieve highly searched ranked positions. Taking your time working out a plan using SEO Elite and Keyword Elite will make the difference between ranking highly and not at all.

    Finding Profitable Keyword Phrases

So you have a site concept developed that you are ready to start writing great content for.

    So what's the next step?

It's time to develop your " master keyword list " which you will use to craft your WebPages. These are the words or phrases you would like to get ranked high in the search engine's for and get the free targeted traffic that this will bring to your website.

It is not enough to simply "pluck" words from the air and start writing your web pages. You need to carefully select which words and phrases to target.

    Food for thought:

    --------------------------------------------------------

What if there are already 10 billion web pages about your chosen keyword(s)?

    --------------------------------------------------------

Do you think a small business owner can compete with large companies who invest millions of dollars into their SEO strategies for highly competitive, high traffic keywords?

Obviously the answer is no but there is a bright side to the equation if you are willing to invest time into researching your keyword phrases carefully. You will want to choose "niche" keywords that offer a combination of high traffic and low competition.

This of course is easier said than done but it can be accomplished as long as you use some of the help that is available on the internet.

Here are a couple of first steps, tips and tools you can use to put together a list of niche keywords for the website topic that you have developed.

    1. Keyword Brainstorming and Research

Think of throwing out a "wide net" here and try to write down as many keywords and phrases (consisting of 2-4 words) that are related to your Website Concept as you can.

Take each one of these words/phrases and visit: http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/

Type the first keyword phrase into the " Get suggestions for :" box and hit the search button.

This will return you a list of words and phrases that are similiar to your keyword phrase and also provide you with the number of searches for each of these results on the Yahoo-Overture network for the month.

Copy all of the keyword phrases that you think best suit your site concept along with the search data into a text file or spreadsheet. Save this file as your " master keyword list ".

Note: Some of the results will be totally unrelated to your site concept you do not need to copy these into your "master keyword list".

Repeat this process for all of the keyword phrases that you initially brainstormed. By the end of this process you should have a "master keyword list" of several hundred or thousand words and phrases.

Google provides a free keyword research tool as well but does not provide the search statistics that Yahoo-Overture does. Augment your keyword list with any results that you find relevant using this tool. http://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordSandbox

    2. Refine Your Keyword List Part 1

You need to shorten your keyword list to a tightly targeted and highly profitable subset of your master keyword list. These are going to be the words you use when crafting your web pages for the search engines.

Start by performing searches for each keyword phrase in your master keyword list at: http://www.google.com

Google will tell you the total number of sites it has indexed for the keyword phrase that you are searching for. Copy this number into your master keyword list for each keyword phrase.

You will now have the data for the number of searches on the Yahoo-Overture network for the month and the number of competing websites for each keyword phrase in your list.

Think of these numbers as supply(websites) and demand(# of searches) . Finding the supply/demand number for each keyword phrase will help you decide which one's you want to target.

You will have to use your own judgement here depending on your goals and the amount of traffic you would like to generate. Make sure you have a nice mix high traffic and niche keyword phrases in your master keyword list.

It's not that useful to be ranked #1 for a keyword that only gets 5 searches a month. Similiarly, it is very hard to achieve high rankings for high traffic keyphrases because there is going to be a lot of competition.

Trim your keyword phrase list down to 50-100 entries and get ready for step 3.

    3. Analyze the Competitor's Backlinks

There are 3 purposes to this analysis: analyzing whether a chosen keyword space is too competitive, identifying potential link partners (to be used in a later lesson), and to trim your "master keyword list" down to 15-20 keywords that have a reasonable level of competition.

To get started take the first term in your master keyword list and perform a search for it at: http://www.google.com

    --------------------------------------------------------

Note: we are only going to be interested in the "top 10" results for each keyword phrase since our goal is to get listed on the first page of results for our target keywords.

    --------------------------------------------------------

Our goal from this analysis is to find out how "established" your competition is in your chosen keyword marketplace. An analysis of the number of sites that link to your competitor should give you an initial indicator of how important their website is to the world. If a lot of websites are linking to your competitor they must be providing valuable content or a useful tool/service.

To find out who is linking to your competitor visit: http://www.uptimebot.com and enter the first domain from the Google Search results into uptimebot's search bar.

Uptimebot will then query all of the major search engine's and return a report showing the number of links the domain has pointing to it. A site with a lot of backlinks to it must be an information hub and therefore very important.

Perform this uptimebot search for all of the "top 10" competitors from your initial Google search results.

If you are finding that the sites in the search results have several 1000 backlinks to them you will know right away that you are going to have a hard time getting a high ranking for that keyword since a large number of links suggests that the site is already a well established information hub in that keyword marketplace.

Uptimebot also provides you with a link to the search results showing you the actual websites that are linking back to your competitor. Visit as many of these sites as you can and try to identify which ones have complimentary content to your site. You may want to consider contacting the owner's of those domains to request a link to your site.

    4. Refine Your Keyword List Part 2

After performing this analysis for each keyword phrase in your master keyword list eliminate the keywords that you identify as having too much competition (i.e. too many well established "hubs"). We will use this list in the next lesson to start writing your first web page

Using these tips you should now be able to tell which market's you will be able to compete in and which one's already have too many established information hubs to make it worth your while. You will also have a list of "complimentary" websites that you may want to consider requesting links from in the future to help boost your website's "link popularity".

Immitation Is The Most Sincere Form Of Flattery

Search engines change their ranking algorithms from time to time. A page in your Web site that earned a top ranking last week might drop in the rankings a few months later. Then left untouched, that same page could climb right back into its old search position, although this is unlikely to happen by chance.

The trick to always being on top is to learn the variables that can be influenced and analyze the contents of a top-ranking page and simply make yours match it keyword for keyword. This does not mean you copy the page or reuse even one of their sentences. I am not condoning or recommending copyright infringement. Instead, evaluate the page ahead of yours by literally clicking on their listings, visit their site, and select View from the pull-down menu in your browser and then Document Source in Netscape Navigator, or Source in Microsoft Internet Explorer. This allows you to view the actual HTML, code that makes up their page.

Ask yourself, "Is a particular keyword more prominent in their Title tag than in Mine?" If this page has a keyword in the third position, make sure your Title tag has a keyword in the third position. If their page has the keyword twice in the title, in position three and seven, you do the same without copying their Title tag. If their page has 264 words of copy, write 264 word of copy for your informational page. If their 264 word of copy contains three occurrences of the targeted keyword, yours should have three, and so on.

Perhaps they are using the keyword in the heading tags, or maybe keywords appear in hyperlinks to other internal pages or some other way that you had not considered or are not using. In theory, you can build a page that is identical to theirs in format. However, the search engine will treat the two pages differently depending on what other ranking factors the engine considers such as link popularity.

While it is pleasant to see a large amount of traffic flowing to your websites, it could have a negative impact on your site. By applying the best SEO practices you will ensure that only high targeted traffic visits your website. This is critical to your online success. I will reveal 4 important factors that can help you drive in the desired traffic you are seeking for easily.

    1. Traffic

SEO was created to help webmasters to increase their traffic to their site. Most websites are built to be viewed by people searching for information on the internet and search engines like Google and Yahoo are extremely important in helping website owners accomplish this goal. Search engines hold a great deal of power and should be taken seriously. To become a powerful presence on the internet you need to be able to take advantage of the power search engines.

Consider this: About 90% of all internet users make use of search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, and other search engines to help them in their online activities. Most users utilize Google as their main search engine. Google generates about 70% of all search related activity on the internet.

    2. Getting a targeted visitor

One of the most successful marketing strategies a webmaster can use is to perform targeted searches. This marketing technique is not like other techniques, where you could possibly fall short of targeting the correct visitor. Usually, people are looking for topics they have an interest in, and by you providing the right market to that visitor, will have a definite impact on your business.

    3. Behavior of the search engines

Search engines are in no way different than people, they prefer websites that contain quality information about a topic relevant to what the person is searching for. Sites that rank high on the search engines appear there because they are very popular among people as well as the search engines. To have your site ranked on the first page is a great accomplishment to aim for.

    4. Cost Effectiveness

It takes more than knowledge to expand your internet presence to it fullest potential. Optimizing your website will seem like a full-time job and will have an extremely long learning curve, and because of this, most webmasters turn to using SEO tools or using a SEO service to help them with this process. Hiring a SEO firm or expert can be risky. Before you make any deal, you should check out their creditability, the quality of their work, and pricing. Doing so will save you a big headache and a loss of funds.

Article Marketing-The Two Ways to Do Article Marketing

Article marketing is such a hot area online right now, and of course I like that, but I like even more the idea that it is basically fad proof. You see, the problem with most of the fads online, especially the ones that make people a lot of money, end up being automated and the cat is let out of the bag, and everybody and their uncle starts doing the fad, and after awhile it is burnt out and there is very little money left in the fad.

The thing about article marketing is that it is basically fad proof. The reason for this is that article writing cannot be automated by computers. Sure, content can be automated, but not real articles. And it is real articles that make article marketing happen. Well, at least the first half of the equation.

Real articles are the root to article generated traffic, traffic that comes directly from the article directories. People have to read the articles, and click through and if the article is some computer generated junk, then they arent going to click through. So that half is fad proof at least.

Now, the second way is that of generating backlinks by writing articles and submitting them to article directories.

Now, this has tendencies to becoming a fad, but the problem is, if the content is just computer generated, the search engines tend to eventually ban the content, so articles submitted to article directories that accept computer generated articles generally will not get indexed correctly for the article marketing purposes. This makes article marketing by sheer hard work very attractive for the person who is not chasing one get-rich-quick scheme after another, and wants to generate long term internet income.

Article Marketing - A Simple But Powerful Promotion Skill

Article marketing is a valuable method of getting traffic to your website. In case you're not familiar with it, article marketing is basically the process of writing articles and submitting them, along with links back to your website, to article reprint directories on the internet.

You're probably quite aware of the value of having fresh content on your website and blog. Many people who own websites visit article reprint directories on a regular basis to get new content for their sites.

When you submit your article to these directories, you're giving permission for other people to use your article on their site - for free. The catch is, they have to include an "about the author" section at the end of each article they use. This can include information about your website and links back to it.

When your article gets used on someone's website, everyone who reads the article sees your author bio and the links back to your website. A good article can wind up on hundreds of websites, where many people can read it. And how many of those people could click your link and visit your website?

These article directories are easy to find. Just do a Google search for free article directories and you'll find a bunch. Some of them are specific to certain topics, while others will accept articles on almost any subject. You can submit your article to multiple directories and you can even get software that will automate the process for you.

You have virtually unlimited topics to write about. What is your website about? Get creative in thinking up topics. If someone would want to visit your website to learn something, write an article about that.

Someone who sells Tupperware for instance, could easily write about food related items or take it a step further an write an article about the fact that the plastic containers are great for organizing toys, bathroom items or even nuts and bolts in the garage.

If you don't like writing, it's not the end of the world. You can hire ghostwriters to write the articles for you, for anywhere from $5 to $20 for a 500 word article. Once you give the ghostwriter the topic and any keywords you want to target, they'll do all the writing for you. And some will even do the submission to the article directories so you can spend your time on other tasks.

Stop giving your content away for free - get paid for your article marketing. Find out how you can get paid for submitting articles with the internet's first viral article network. Article Marketing Step 1. Is to discover your topic and titles. As you would provide a first sentence for your article, one that would immediately grab the attention of your reader. To be concise, you would need to get all the facts that will support and go against your point. At this point you are also going to pic out some key words that best describe the content of your article and use these key words as much as possible throw out the article. This will help a great deal when it comes to search engines finding you article, if no one can find it, it will not get read. It's that simple. Key words are a very important factor in article marketing.

Article Marketing Step 2. One of the methods you can use to prepare yourself for writing articles is creating an outline first. Creating an outline for all your articles makes you prepared. You have an idea of what to do first and make a plan for your succeeding steps. Being prepared makes the job easier and faster. Being organized will allow for disorientation to be shunned away.

Article Marketing Step 3. Never underestimate the power of the resource box. After all this is the why your submitting your article, right? It may be small in size but they will provide a significant aid in driving traffic to your site. A boring resource box will never get a job done. Be fun and creative but at the same time show that you have a great deal to offer, too much to ask for something that couldnt fit a paragraph? Yes and no, there are many tips and guides that can help you in doing this, the first step is realizing how important a resource box could be in making people click your link and be directed to your site.

Article Marketing Step 4. Maybe in the process of writing articles, you are thinking that all that is you wanted is links back to your site. And any visitors it can generate are fine. Guess what? Not all article banks and directories are going to accept your content automatically. Oftentimes, they have some guidelines and specifications on the articles that they are accepting.

Article Marketing Step 5. You can double the number of sites you can submit to by writing articles that the directories want to share with other people. All it takes is one publisher with a hundred thousand readers to increase your potential audience overnight.

Write the articles that publishers want in their publications if you want your article marketing to work the most effective way for you. This also means you have to obey the standard guidelines, spell checks, researching on a good topic and even hiring a writer to produce a good content on your behalf. In the end, it is all really a matter of choice on your part. You can start getting a little exposure from increased links back but on a very basic level. Or enjoy massive exposure from a little extra time making quality contents.

Article Marketing Step 6. Reread and reread what you have written down. Always refer to your outline so that you wont drift away from what you had first written down. Its not hard to be caught in the moment and get lost in your writing frenzy. Your outline will help you keep in track. All those hours spent in outlining your article will not go to waste. This will serve as your guide in writing articles. Trust and rely on your outline because this will prove to be a very helpful tool in writing all of your articles.

If you use all these step to market your articles and provide good useful content your article marketing will be very successful.

If you don't feel like writing articles yourself, private label rights articles are always a option. If used properly they can be a great resource. Be sure not to copy private label rights articles word for word. Instead use many different articles and peace them together. This will insure your content is original.

Article Marketing & Submission - How to Write a Really Bad Resource Box for Your Articles

Do you know how to write a really bad resource box for your articles? Well you will after reading and using this article.

    Bad resource box tips

As an article writing and marketing coach I've seen some pretty bad resource boxes. Here are a few tips so you too can write a really bad resource box.

Tip 1 -- no resource box -- believe it or not I've seen people leave the resource box blank. Nothing. Nada. Zip.

Solution -- at least get something in there.

Tip 2 -- your virtual ego wall -- write down every accomplishment you've ever made. List your degrees, books written, and how much your parents really like you.

Solution -- the resource box is not about you. A great resource box is all about the reader and what's in it for them.

Tip 3 -- convince the reader you are an expert -- talk about all your years experience and how you are in the expert in this area.

Solution -- if you have not convinced the reader that you are an expert in your article, it's way too late to do it now. Again, resource box is not about you it's about your reader.

Tip 4 -- do not ask the reader to do anything. I fail to take someone who has just read information from you and invite them to do anything else at all.

Solution -- create compelling call to action that takes the reader by the hand and not only asks them shows them what to do next.

Tip 5 -- do not include any active links back to your website or blog. Treat the reader like someone watching the final episode of the Sopranos and just leave them hanging.

Solution -- include at least one active link back to your website or blog so the reader can engage you further.

Follow these tips and you too can create bad resource box is when writing your articles.

Lucrative Article Marketing - Uncover 5 Reliable Methods to Advance with Article Marketing

If you have been using article marketing in promoting your products or website but can seem to generate the kind of interest and traffic that you were hoping for, let me help you increase the benefits you get - from increased page views, improved sales potential, and higher page ranking - by tenfold. Just follow these 5 reliable methods and you'll surely advance in this technique:

    1. Anchor text vs. absolute URL. What are you using in your resource box? Based on studies and researches, the use of anchor text is more effective that using absolute URL. Aside from the fact that they look good on human eyes because they are based on keywords, they are also favored by search engines.

    2. Make your articles scannable. Online users do have little time to spare when they search for information online. They appreciate articles that are scannable so they can easily skim through the information without spending so much time reading the whole article. Break your articles into short paragraphs and use bullet list to make your articles not only scannable but also easy on the eyes.

    3. Maximize your resource box. Most article submission sites will allow you to use up to three hyperlinks on your author box. Take advantage of this to increase the chances of your website's URL being clicked.

    4. Keep your resource box short. Remember, you are not writing another article. Keep it simple and direct to the point. Include your name, your expertise, and your "bait" - or the reason why readers should visit your website.

    5. Give your articles compelling teasers. These will be shown, together with the titles of your articles, when an online user searched for your keywords. Tell your potential readers what is your article all about and how they can benefit from reading it.

How to Improve Search Engine Placement

Are you intent on achieving higher placement, rankings and readership for your website? If so, here are a few proven SEO fundamentals known for achieving optimal search engine placement.

The strategies covered in this article are excellent for improving search engine positioning as well as promoting recognition of your content, which develops trust rank and authority over time. Examples of this marketing tactic are prevalent in industries ranging from fortune 500 companies, non profit organizations, and social media networks as well as small businesses and individual blogs. Regardless of market or niche, the results are consistent top 10 placement and VIP status in search engines.

So, what is this closely guarded Seo secret that supercedes page rank? It is Website Trust & Authority, so let's take a look at how to earn it for your website and all subsequent pages published from your URL.

How to create Trust Rank and Website Authority for improving search engine placement for your Niche

One well known secret amongst industry experts is developing relevant content using exact match broad search terms and surrounding it with contextual (more specific) links and useful resources. For example, if you build a website based on this strategy (like Wikipedia's 1.9 million articles in the US for example) search engine algorithms associate your website as an authority since you are creating relevance for the various communities that comprise the web. The reward for such a contribution is hub status otherwise noted as pure search engine visibility. This is essentially because the prime directive of search engines is to provide users with the most relevant results that correspond to their query, essentially giving them what they want and when they want it (without the clutter).

Websites are evaluated with scrutiny from a wide array of criteria from search engine algorithms, their primary method to assess your site is through the use of spiders to collect snapshots of your content. It is the spider (otherwise known as a user agent, or web bot) that gathers data from all crawlable pages to assess if websites are providing valuable content, or fail to deliver relevance beyond their own self serving motives (we are the best, biggest, leading, professional, keyword, keyword, in our city, state, planet,etc.).

In which case, sites containing such generic terms rarely appeal to the Google bot, Slurp or other user agents that scour the web looking for truly UNIQUE content to assign authority and elevate in the algorithm. If you give the spiders what they want, they will return more frequently to glean your pages and assign rankings for your new pages as well as revive older pages you may have long since forgotten. Page rank is by the page, so essentially to increase your potential return on investment, each page of your website can target high volume key words with laser like precision if optimized properly.

One example of website authority, is when you see two web pages returned in a search query from the same website. This is a by-product of authority, multiple pages in your site that have the ability to rank independently equal a higher probability for conversion. This type of search engine placement occurs (multiple listings) when one or more of your keywords are common denominators on several pages.

It is important to vary the context of the keywords and not to group them too close together in your body copy. There are two reasons for this, (1) you could set off spam filters in the algorithm and impact your rankings in a negative fashion through penalties and (2) keywords grouped too closely rank are considered one keyword and only rank well if someone were searching for them the way they appear in the group. A keyword density of 3-5% for the total number of words on your page is sufficient of roughly one keyword per sentence, with no more than 3 per paragraph. Writing in this fashion will keep you well within the appropriate keyword density for achieving higher rankings as well as score points with the humans that read your posts.

When developing new content for your website, try surrounding your keywords with adjectives or qualifiers to augment their contextual impact (affordable, professional, best, etc.). This also provides excellent long-tail search results (unintentional optimization for your pages) when prospects are using longer queries in search engines to find related content. You should optimize EACH PAGE on your site for specific keywords (in order to broaden your net of catch phrases or keywords) for the web.

Elements known to create website authority and trust rank in search engines are:

    1. Relevant Content
    2. Consistent Updates to Your Pages
    3. Deep Linking from Authoritative Sources

    Relevant Content

Relevant content can be classified by factors such as it's usefulness, the vocabulary used to convey the message or conclusion or the resources it references. In addition content that is easy to read, copy that compels the reader to take action or piques their interest will typically garner a larger audience in the blog or social networking community for example, which translates to the ability to monetize your site with sponsored advertising programs, banners, etc.

When creating a new page, ask yourself does the content truly leave the viewer satiated with a sense of satisfaction? If so you have fulfilled their reason for visiting in the first place and will strike a chord with them. The result, trust which is favorable for sales conversion.

Write every page this way and you can determine who reads your content based on the optimization utilized, using your titles and descriptions as signal flares for search engines to identify the context of your pages. The real secret here is in tweaking the pages which leads into the next point.

    Consistent Updates to your Pages

Refresh your content regularly to improve search engine rankings. It is a known fact, websites that refresh their content regularly can acquire hub or authority status.

A website can gain authority from exhibiting unique patterns which distinguish them from other sites such as

    (a) a steady flow or increase in traffic
    (b) increased link popularity from other sites proving valuable one way links (Wikipedia is an example of this)
    (c) a healthy ratio of inbound to outbound links to or from other related sites.

This is why blogs for example, organically rank higher in search engines than most pages, since they are by their very nature aligned with the principles of what search engine algorithms reward. If you are not using a blog on your own server within your site as a subdirectory or sub domain, I would highly suggest it, due to the long term benefits it can provide for keeping all of your pages crawled regularly from search engines. This also works well in tandem to making tweaks and adjustments to your keywords, titles and descriptions which invariably have their impact on improving rankings.

The description tag, the bin and the ability to rank again and again for multiple keywords on each page:

One SEO secret for long-tail search engine optimization is, in your description tag for each page, try to use tactfully written "exact match terms" as much as possible for the main keywords on your page. One other point to note if you are optimizing your pages specifically for Google. Google has a memory of every revision you have every made to your site, so every page title and every description you every wrote for your pages is stored in a profile (known as the bin) for your site, when someone types a query, it checks the bin for an exact or partial match and then returns the most appropriate response from any number of websites and respective pages within those sites (you can see this in the description of the search results, they change based upon your query). So, in essence, the more you update your pages strategically, the more frequently Google returns and catalogs your content, the more keywords you can amass for each page in your website.

This is a true gem of knowledge if you realize that, even though you may have changed the page, the original version and all versions since are still in the bin, so imagine each page on your site being able to rank for terms that may or may not still exist those pages but still are indexed in the digital ghost of your pages. This means that over time, through strategic planning, you can build each page up for specific keywords and subsequent rankings associated with those keywords.

This is why you always hear experts in the SEO industry stating to refresh your content. By tweaking your website i.e. re-optimizing your pages (recycling your pages, tightening up the content or changing titles, descriptions and keyword variations) you compound the ranking potential for each page in your site. Using the bin / memory theory, you can continually optimize your pages for broader or more specific search terms. You can still rank for keywords, sentences or paragraphs that existed on your pages months ago as well as still return search results from the current re-optimized keywords that may be more in tune with the times.

    Deep Linking from Authority Sites

Last but not least, one of the final ingredients in improving search engine ranking and gaining website authority is links. The more relevant the link the better, but more importantly if you can acquire links from websites with trust rank, unique C Class IP addresses (the first 8000 URL's created), or social networking or bookmarking sites such as web 2.0 sites like Digg, Reddit, Del.icio.us, etc. This can dramatically impact your own website authority, since websites with high page rank and thousands of inbound links have the ability to pass on their VIP influence from search engines to your site over time through one-way permanent links.

This is a legitimate method which requires patience, persistence and perseverance to attain the goal, but any noteworthy accomplishment can be measured by the fruit of it's labor. One thing to consider, is not loading up your home page with links from other sites, this appears unnatural, if you are using directories, blogs, social networking sites or article marketing to expand your search engine visibility, then make sure that when applicable that your spread the links evenly to sub directories, or less popular pages in your site.

The reason will become apparent over time, as you see pages with a page rank of zero from your website outrank page rank 4, 5 or 6 websites who may have strong on page SEO factors, but have neglected off page Seo link building to cement their rankings.

    In summary:

    1. Create value through providing on-topic, relevant content in relationship to the title and description of the page.

    2. Re-Optimize content regularly with emphasis on the description tag and using exact match terms for high volume keywords.

    3. Add breathtaking adjectives where possible or terms that can augment long-tail search results (affordable, professional, company, services, etc. )

    4. Create new pages with the optimized goal in mind, instead of trying to make a square peg fit in a round hole. New content adds value (and additional page rank) and if you start with the goal in mind, you can build fresh (deep) links and rank in no time vs. trying to re-hash content indexed from older pages which are associated with narrower or less popular terms.

So now that you have a better idea of what is required, get busy and start building website authority and trust rank for your website today.
